Scott Mead Forms A National Music Talent Library in Response To Growing Ad Agency Needs 

Laguna Hills, CA --Scott Mead, owner of Meadia Productions, a top production house for southern California multimedia and music production, has announced the creation of Grasshopper Talent, a booking agency for new bands and lesser -known musicians. "The talent search begins on-line, and concludes with the best artists winning a spot in the Mead Library for commercial rights that may be purchased by a well-known Fortune 500 company," explains Mead. 

A natural extension of the custom music offerings and engineering talent that Mead is known for, he created the new music talent agency to answer a growing need for cutting edge new musicians and their arrangements for television sports and advertising, radio spots, and film scoring. Mead formed the company with partners Teresa M. Young, a business marketing and development specialist, and Ron Becker, music talent scout and manager. 

Mead says, "Currently, there are 25 artists slated for  the agency's roster and more than 75 that did not make the cut. I focus on a group's ability to produce music that is well defined, original, and has depth. Our casting sessions are handled by "real" recording engineers, assuring that samples will allow our corporate clients to effectively match great musicians with great marketing."

Mead has built recording studios, and engineered music and DVD projects for more than 20 years. His consulting services have been utilized by Tazmania Studios (Ted Nugent), Bob Seger, The Recording Studio of Detroit, Paisley Park (Prince), Face to Face Productions (Fred Hammond, Gospel Artist), The Loft (Sponge), Rick Medlocke (Blackfoot, Lynyrd Skynyrd), Cheap Trick, and others. His company, Meadia Productions, is one of only four studios in the US that has received certification as an Authorized Steinberg Training Center.
